The history of the Navy is not only made up of objects linked to the sea. In all activities we find people, all of which are important. This is especially true on board ships, where any small failure by a crew member can prove fatal.
However, there are those whose memory lasts much longer: men who distinguished themselves as great military leaders, or as figures with an outstanding political intervention, or through their active participation in cultural or scientific research.
The Maritime Museum pays tribute to some of these people by displaying objects that belonged to them or that are in some way related to their lives and their careers.
